Getting around
It’s a multi venue wedding; a chance to enjoy our home
We start in our home village of Birling, mentioned in the Domesday book of 1086, close to the Pilgrims Way and part of the picturesque North Downs Way. Meeting at All Saints Church, you will find parking at the rear and also behind the Nevill Bull Pub over the road.
After our service and photographs, we move on to the neighbouring village of West Malling, another gem from the Garden of England. You will find The Swan in Swan Street, with lots of parking options via RingGo, (51191, 51204, 51178) and close by at West Malling train station.
After lunch, we return to Birling and the beautiful Manor Gardens. Back in 1800`s a grand manor stood in the grounds, but was lost to a fire in January 1917. What is left is a rich history and a view that will take your breath away. You can take a 10 minute walk from the church, with All Saints on your right, along the country lane of Snodland Road, or you can drive and turn right at the sign into the Manor Gardens car park.
This is an outdoor venue, think forest-festival-boho, so dress to impress but also to keep warm as the temperature will drop as the sun goes down.
